Artist — Teresa Wojdak Medium ⁠— Oils

Teresa Wojdak lives in Telkwa, BC with her husband Paul. She has a diverse life starting as a child in lumber camps and a family owned fishing lodge on the shore of Babine Lake. Her adult life included time spent in various northern areas placer mining and fishing. Her time is filled with outdoor adventures around the world including  hiking, cycling, yoga routines and oil painting classes with Edwin Kayton, a Hawaiian artist who offers occasional workshops.  “I wanted to paint since early childhood but had no idea where to start.”  With Kayton’s patient instruction and support from fellow students the completion of her first painting. A realistic portrait of a recently passed family member produced an overwhelming amount of emotion as the subject’s personality emerged with so many memories, pulling the past into the present. Teresa’s passion is portraiture and water which plays a reoccurring theme in her paintings. But she enjoys a challenge in many genres florals, landscapes and still life. Teresa is a participant in the annual Studio Tour held in the Bulkley Valley each August long weekend displaying her work at her studio.
